Troglodillo Mix

The Troglodillo Mix is a mineral rich bioactive substrate designed specifically for limestone dependent isopod species. This mix provides a stable environment that supports strong exoskeleton development, healthy molting, and long term colony stability.

It is composed of organic bio compost, wood based materials, flake soil, leaf soil, moss, and multiple natural calcium sources including crushed limestone, limestone powder, eggshell powder, and sepia powder. Activated carbon helps maintain soil balance, while bat guano supports microbial activity and nutrient cycling.

This substrate is ideal for bioactive setups and is formulated for long term use. In properly maintained enclosures it remains effective for at least 12 months, and when combined with living plants it can last up to 2 years.
