Origin: cultured morph, Greece
Size: Approximately 18–22 mm in length
Difficulty (Keeping): Intermediate; requires a well-balanced enclosure with a clear moisture gradient
Breeding Difficulty: Intermediate; breeds reliably under stable conditions with adequate warmth and protein
Temperature: Keep within 18–26°C
Humidity: Moderate; maintain a dry-to-moist gradient rather than uniformly high humidity
Ventilation: Moderate to strong ventilation is required to prevent stagnant conditions
Diet: Provide leaf litter as a staple, supplemented with rotting hardwood, vegetables, protein sources (fish food or dried insects), and calcium such as cuttlebone or limestone
Habitat Setup: Set up a well-ventilated enclosure using an organic soil base mixed with decaying wood and leaf litter. Maintain one consistently moist side and one drier side. Provide cork bark or wood pieces for shelter and climbing
Additional Notes: Porcellio werneri “Silverback” is an active, surface-dwelling Porcellio species known for its robust build and silver-grey coloration. It is best suited for keepers with prior Porcellio experience and should be kept in species-only enclosures
